In the context of "101 Arabian Nights", LUCA Luxembourg Center for Architecture and the Arabic Association for Cultural Exchange (AACE) invite you to the lecture "Nature as an Architect", given by Ammar Khammash, Jordanian architect, onThursday 16th November 2017 at 19:00.
Largely known for his works through the studioKhammash Architects, his portfolio includes the Wild Jordan Center, the Royal Academy for Nature Conservation, the Darat Al Funun workspace and the Columbia University Middle East Research Center in Amman.
From hospitality to education, residential to the public sector, Ammar Khammash uses earthly materials sourced from surrounding environments. "Our slogan is that the site is the architect", states the architect and who not only shapes his buildings around the environmental conditions but also around social matters such as traditional building methods and employing many people from the region.
